As a person who has been hearing and knowing about North Korea for many years, especially since it was unfortunately banded by George Bush, I found that all the research I had done changed into insignificance when compared to the actual experience of travelling there.

The initial train ride was a real eye-catching and really a fast background introduction of North Korea. Regardless of its age, the train offered a very warm, and homely feeling, and the tour guides made the journey even more enjoyable by letting us participate in the games like hangman. It was very nice to sit with a few members of the train staffs. Even if you speak a few words of Korean, they were still warm and friendly, although they were a little shy at beginning.

The landscape was very beautiful, particularly Mount Myohang which housed the international friendship exhibition centre. The centre had the feeling of James Bond or a sci fi movie, with a vast maze of rooms, marble flooring and bright lighting.

The Yangakdo hotel was excellent, well presented with some great restaurants, facilities, and ultra fast elevators. Warm and nice restaurant staffs did their best to serve you. I was even asked which kind of breakfast I prefered, showing that they really went out of their way to please you.

All meals were very filling and you were provided with more than you could eat, and eating in a Pyongyang restaurant was a great experience. It even had the homely feeling of some restaurants as back home, but you could never forget that you were in North Korea.

The trip to the DMZ was a definite highlight point, and the soldiers were also friendly. Just went with an open mind and listened to their stories on the Korean War and you would have a great time.

We were prepared for plenty of time on the road, which was a wonderful feature. Just sitted back and absorbed as much of the country as you could. It was a unique experience to go along roads with such few traffic and saw such beautiful lakes and mountains.

One pleasant surprise was that I was able to load up my camera with photos. The only time the tour guides restricted photography was on the train. It was always worth asking the guides before photographing, but I found myself asking permission much more than necessary. They were much more liberal than you would assume.

The tour guides were great. They enjoyed talking with you, and my English speaking guide was also keen to learn about China, and appreciated my interest in North Korea.

Just went with an open mind and no preconceived notions, as no amount of research could prepare oneself for the experience of North Korea.

To the shore, you can see the willow on the white causeway of those cuise, antique white light irradiation, there is a slightly transparent charm. There are a number of deep and shallow lake colors, which is the Lotus. There are many lotus died, the Lian Peng by the road only left a lonely stem. We were lucky, that day there is no storm, we could clearly see close to Mount Fuji. We circled the car along the winding mountain road while on board to the five joint projects, which is more than 2,300 meters above sea level. Fuji combined total of ten projects, what is the joint project? The original understanding is that a woman is not allowed on the uphill, usually mostly are monks, from the starting point at the foot of the mountain to light the lamps, street lamps take a while to exhaust and need the fuel to tank is called for a joint project, so time and again adding the oil to the tank to keep the lamps light is called the second joint project, third joint project, until the fifth times, days are light which are called the five joint project.

Up to the five joint project the tour guide gave us a ticket being issued to receive a souvenir, each received a small golden bell, which could bring good luck. In the shops at five joint projects I also bought a Fuji graphic key chains, each 600 yen (over 40 yuan), a little bit expensive, as for souvenirs.

Down from Mount Fuji to the Japanese Village —-Oshino Hakkai, where you could see Mount Fuji picture in a distance.
Tibet line has poor condition, washboard roads, potholes roads, gravel roads, sand roads, the road in this ride is about 70 km per day, in addition to a simple hotel run into along the way, often had to camp. Bar tent, live road culverts, are good ” natural ” hotels.

Ali sparsely populated areas, roads and culverts over most spacious and clean water in the culvert in the spread plastic sheets, moisture pads, and then open the sleeping bag to make a temporary nest. It is to sleep better in the road culvert than in the bar tent, because the tent was always making flapping sound by the wind. Ali ’s climate is changing, even in the summer the sun and the wind are also co-existed, it is common for the temperature dropped below zero. Before the second was hot, suddenly is drawing lightnening, cloud on top has the pressure, with strong wind blowing, this time to stay in the culvert is the most appropriate. Sitting in moisture-proof mat for 20-minute rest, the outside is lighting up; walking out of the culvert, the bad weather is without a trace, the sky has the clouds, on top there is the hot sun, the sky with a look of innocent face as if to tell: ” I did nothing! “

Appropriate culvert is not always so easy to find, sometimes I also field bar tent. I always choose to set a small tent next to farmers under the big tent, also gain a pastoral full of enthusiasm.

Let the body natural breath in Ali

Arrive in Kangrinboqe before, I just want to paint it with a physical heaven and earth. At the moment, between heaven and earth is just me and you!

Riding in the vast plateau of Ali, the head is down the low cloud, which has been extended to the horizon at the end. On the way there are flocks of sheep and cattle – mountain steppe people are immersed while intoxicated. Not to mention the Zada forest, mountain Kangrinboqe, holy lake Manasarovar Lake, which are all the beautiful pearls strung of this line, are the most wonderful masterpiece of nature.

Kangrinboqe ! I know that in the past thousands of people have travelled long distances to come, in the future it will continue to have thousands of people to come. But at the moment, I stood before you, you’re showing me the magic and beauty of nature, and I have no words to express my sincere. Charming glare of the sun, day is beautifully blue. In Kangrinboqe before, I just want to paint their bodies to this day; at the moment, between heaven and earth just me and you! The holy lake Manasarovar Lake is at the foot of the Mountain, its water is cool and pure. After the way of aeolian, took off our shirts and rushed into the clear lake Manasarovar Lake, beat the water, fully exposed ourselves in this landscape, was really exciting and fully delightful.

Phi Phi Island in Thailand about 20 km southeast of Phuket Island, is the sister island composed of two main islands, in 1983 was designated as Thailand National Park. This is a place to enjoy the sun dependents, soft white sandy beaches, tranquil blue sea, gods of natural caves, unspoiled natural beauty, making her stands out of more than 30 islands around from Phuket, and has become one of the hottest resorts in recent years .

Recommended travel tips

1 , There are many beaches around Phi Phi Island: Monkey Beach, Maya Bay, Long beach, Mosquito Island, Egg Island, Bamboo Island and so on. You can find travel agents in the island-hopping tour projects; also rent long-tail boat, 3 hours (including mask) costs between 1000b-1200b ( off-season is said to be Kandao 6 hours 1800b-2000b).

Egg Island – the best snorkeling, the island is small, around 40 minutes to swim a lap , however , the island has three good beaches, was Y shaped , the best snorkeling reef in a large Behind , the sea is black , in fact, is the coral reef below , there are many cute little fish , as well as Nemo , sea urchin . Comparison of deep water .

Monkey Beach – the beach is white, the sea is very clear, have small monkeys, but monkeys are hiding for some time.

Maya Bay – landing costs 200b, beach looked very beautiful in a distance, the sand is white, the water is green.

Bamboo Island – a good place for diving , submarine is very beautiful, there are many corals , the main color to green.

2， If to participate the island-hopping tour, PACKAGE is diverse and cost-effective. You can participate at your own interests and physical level, and to avoid duplication and combining the work and rest. It is strongly recommended MAYA BAY CAMPING TOUR, 4:00 PM starting from the PP, the next day 10:00 AM back to PP, sleep in sleeping bags at MAYA beach, dinner and breakfast package is also included, still have time to MAYA and LASAMA swimming and snorkeling beach , a large number of hard and soft corals and fish, 1600B / person limit of 25 people per night, if joined can stay one less night in the hotel and participate tours in half day.

3 ，There are three divings half-day, or four divings one day projects, classified as snorkeling and diving. The diving points and snorkeling points are at the same place, of course, you do not feel the same. There are points where you can go far, 3000B / 2 DIVES, but diving consumes a great of energy, and may not have Chinese coaches.

4， Canoe: season can cut to 300b/hour, two or three people designated to go to the beach near the harbor or snorkeling is a good choice. Remember to bring a life jacket .

5 ，Sunset: Phi Phi Island is famous for its sunset viewpoint. In February it is necessary to go to the summit before 6.15pm; the sun is falling across the mountains opposite the island at around 6.30. It takes 15 minutes to walk from the pier to the foot of mountain, then it takes at least 30 minutes to climb to the viewpoint. Mountain road is steep, climb up is difficult, physically not too good friends need to go beforehead. Climbed 2 / 3 , the direction will be prompted to sunset viewpoint 1,2,3, where 1 is the highest point, also the longest distance of course. The peak is full of flowers, can see the entire coastline of Phi Phi island and sunset views are very beautiful and romantic… … it is recommended to bring your own bottles of water, as on the mountains to drink is expensive.
